Home Camp

This photo series is a study of a ranch, seemingly lost in time - Home Camp.

Ron would often head out from his home in Berkeley, California without a destination in mind - taking camping gears and cameras to  find new places and revisit old familiar ones. Often taking the road less-travelled, he came upon a truck, out of gas, on a quiet rural road. This unexpected meeting turned into multiple visits to a world far from urban experiences. This series is a document of a self-sufficient life in the back country; which began with an accidental meeting and developed into a friendship with common threads and geneous respect.
